The annual chart is a calculated arrangement
The annual chart places numbers in nine palaces using a defined flight order. For 2026, 1 is in the center. The conventional year boundary is Li Chun; exact transition timing needs the relevant time convention. The repeatability of this arrangement does not validate claims about its effects on people.
The nine positions for 2026
Use the table as a direction reference. Confirm north on your plan before mapping sectors. The numbers do not represent readings from a sensor or measurements of a property.

Period 9 is not the annual chart
In the period convention used here, 2024–2043 is Period 9, associated with 9 Purple as the current-period star. It is incorrect to call 8 White the current prosperous star and 9 Purple the coming star in a 2026 guide. A home assigned a Period 8 natal chart does not automatically acquire a new natal chart when the current period changes.
South 5 and northwest 2: understand the terminology
Traditional interpretations associate these numbers with caution and often recommend quiet use. Those labels cannot establish illness, physical danger or a reason to postpone necessary repairs. Decisions about construction, maintenance or room use need the actual property conditions and appropriate professional assessment.
East 8 and southeast 9: avoid outcome promises
East contains annual 8 and southeast annual 9. Their symbolic interpretations do not show that a lamp, ornament, room or direction will increase wealth or improve a relationship. Calling a star prosperous is terminology within the system, not evidence of a financial effect.
A natal building chart requires more information
A building chart also needs the construction-period assumption and facing direction. A generic annual guide cannot supply those for an individual property. A practical reading sequence
First confirm the property, north reference and floor plan. Then keep the annual chart, building chart and personal layers distinct. Record assumptions and unresolved measurements, and compare any proposed arrangement with the actual use of the room. Traditional preferences should not override necessary maintenance or workable living conditions.

Should all south-facing renovation stop in 2026?
No. An annual-star label does not establish a construction prohibition. Necessary repairs and safe work require assessment of the actual property.
Does northwest 2 mean someone will become ill?
No. The traditional name is not a health diagnosis or a measured exposure.
Is 8 White still the current-period star?
Not in the Period 9 convention used here. Period 9 runs from 2024 through 2043; annual 8 is nevertheless located in the east in the 2026 chart.
Can this article replace a building-specific chart?
No. It supplies annual positions only. A building chart requires additional inputs and explicit assumptions.
